Beyond the Wall
During the spring semester of 2017-my junior year at Biola-I was one of 15 students that contributed to a published research book about immigration. My two chapters were "The History and Background of Migrants in Los Angeles and Orange County," and "Immigration and the Wall."
As the title states, the first chapter followed the history of the immigrants in those areas. Two stories, one of a woman that owns restaurants at Olvera Street and another of a professor at Cal State Fullerton, enliven the information.
The second chapter discusses a few of the top immigration issues and how those relate to border wall policies. The chapter includes a couple interviews that provide additional explanation to statistics and information from government resources.
